International Convention for the Suppression of Traffic in Women and Children

 

The League of Nations presents a convention which many countries, including Japan, ratifies. The convention bans the use of minors in prostitution, raising the age limit for protection to twenty one. However, documents indicate that there were many under-aged girl forced into prostitution during the Pacific War.
